Rhodes as a Certificate Authority

So I had this idea that Rhodes should become a certificate authority. We need a chained CA certificate, and then I can sign people's SMIME certificates and stuff.

I wrote to Thawte enquiring about the idea, and I posted to the forums (http://www.ru.ac.za/forums/index.php?showtopic=3994) asking if anyone thought it was a good thing(tm). We'll see where it goes from here.

Funnily enough, just after I spoke to Jacot about this idea, John Stevens came to ask me about digital signatures. It appears that we have issues getting Telkom to accept orders, etc via e-mail, and they're hoping digital signatures will solve that. So perhaps I'm pre-empting something here :)
