bye bye /dev/ad0s1a

We've had two unscheduled power cuts in the last two days; my machine has crashed twice. Some time during the first crash, ad0 got a little unhappy. After the second crash, it was royally fscked. Or at least it wouldn't even fsck.

So I'm in the process of rebuilding my machine. Getting this blog back is part of the process. Hopefully this'll appear online sometime :) And hopefully the rest of the blog is still around somewhere on backups.

It looks like my 40GB Western Digital PATA has had a head crash. I though things like that didn't happen these days? Bits of the disk read fine and bits cause the kernel to panic when you try and read them. *sigh*
